Halloween Weekend
A Halloween party at Chuck's and a scary movie.
Went to Chuck's on Friday night for a Halloween party. Had a good time and drank too much. Almost all the hooligans were there. Chuck as the main man from Fear and Loathing, Brendan as a good 'ole Texas hanging judge, Heather as a dead bunny, and Damon, Brian, and myself as ourselves. Well, I did make a lame attempt at a lumberjack costume. But it really was lame.
Spent most of Saturday recovering from the previous nights folly. Then went to see The Ring Saturday night. That was one scary movie. It was also quite good. I was scared out of my mind but glad I saw it anyway. Reading some X-Men comics before bed combined with this movie for some really amazing nightmares. Excellent. I love it when evil she-devils try to take over the world.
This Sunday afternoon I researched the candidates for Election 2002. Can't say that I'm horribly thrilled with my choices. But then again, I'm not horribly displeased either.
Read some of Jack Kerouac's On the Road. It's a good story so far. Either it's a rather simple story (not that it's not entertaining) or I'm too simple to get it. Either way I think it's a great way to spend some time curled up in a warm bed.
